The Author’s name is Jason Miller and he was raised in a small mining city called Sudbury located in the great white north of Ontario. He originally started his career in graphic design but quickly changed his interest to teaching English. After taking English courses he set off to China where he resided in the city of Changchun. There he taught English to high school level and adult alike. Now living in Toronto Ontario he still teaches English and has found a common flaw among Chinese spoken English. In school Chinese students aren’t taught enough idioms and slang to completely understand spoken English as English has a very large amount of sayings used in daily conversation. This need for idioms has led him to write this book ENGLISH Idioms for Chinese. It’s his hope and dream that many Chinese can benefit from the book and easily make conversation without the difficulty of understanding confusing slang, idioms, and expressions.
